The film has been made in Hindi called Robot and Tamil and Telugu called Endhiran. The film has received enormous success overseas with the film grossing Rs. 20 crores in the United States of America, Rs. 8 crores in the United Kingdom (Including Europe), Rs. 7 crores in the Middle East, Rs. 21 crores in South East Asia (including Malaysia and Singapore) and Rs. 5 crores in the rest of the world. This film has been released by Ayngaran International, which is a 51% subsidiary of Eros International and is the pioneer in Tamil film distribution in theatrical and home video formats in the international market. Endhiran is India...well...Asia's biggest film venture ever....the budget spanning over 190 crore rupees ($ 50 million)...the biggies at bollywood couldn't even dream of such a huge project.
