Hell Ya! He can and he has handled the seriousness of comedy pretty well. The promos itself raised the expectations of the viewer from the director's first attempt at comedy. The very presence of Omi Vaidya is enough to arose curiousity. Yes, The film is an awesome attempt at comedy. I mean, a stupid film like Yamla Pagla Deewana was declared a hit in north India (Say thanks to an unadulterated fan show in Punjab), while another show for brainless called Tees maar khan made 60 crore in it's running period.
