From one desert to another, That Frequent Visitor now brings you to the Rajastan, the desert state of India.  The  Bhangarh Fort  ( Hindi : भानगढ़ दुर्ग) is a 17th-century  fort  built by order of King  Sawai Madho Singh  in  Rajasthan ,  India .   A new village of  Bhangarh  with a population of 1,306 in 200 households has developed outside the limits of the fort as there is fear of ghosts haunting the old city. The fort and its precincts are well preserved. Excerpt from hellotravel.com Bhangarh Fort / Kila is located on the way to Alwar and Jaipur in Rajasthan in India. As per a legend there was a black magic sorcerer who cursed the residents of the palace that they all would die an unnatural death and their spirits will stay there for centuries to haunt the fort / kila forever. Lumbiniyile Rajahamsam : Book Review

thewinkstore.com LUMBINIYILE RAJAHAMSAM (The Royal Swan of Lumbini) Author : K. P. Ramesh Language : Malayalam Publisher : DC Books Price : Rs. 75 THIS COLLECTION of travel articles, presented in three parts, gives an overview of some interesting elements of India's cultural and religious ethos, apart from giving a glimpse of the historical evolution of certain places held high in public esteem for their spiritual significance. The first part covers visits to places linked to Gautama Buddha, including Kushi Nagar that houses a museum. The essays provide a fairly good description in a lucid language, although one finds clichéd expressions — for instance, “travelling in the chariot of time” and “the feeling of awakening from the night of one country to the morning of another country” — occurring rather frequently.

Settling down

Five days and three hours since coming back to my village in kerala, one thing that I have realized is an obvious and basic fact of my nature: Grass is always greener on the other bank. Lol! Talking about banks, i have been going in and out of banks since yesterday owing to account transfers and fund depositions. Even right now, as I am typing, I am breathing the air of another bank in Thrissur. Getting here wasn't a struggle. There is bus service to every nook and corner of the state. Auto rickshaw fares are quite affordable too. But whats not affordable is the way in which people here ply for Rules. There is a protocol for everything and people cry over smallest of defaults. Back in Gurgaon and Delhi, i used to feel that people were so negligent when it came to rules. The fact bothered me so much (especially in the middle of a traffic jam) but now I feel so opposed ironically. I really think that gurgaonites were better off as carefree kinda people for Now I am at a place that is

The Winning Eleven

What a game! What a tournament! Finally, India break all myths about Hosts not winning World Cups etc. Sreesanth's luck showing him way into the team twice (and not performing either times, I don’t blame him, he’s a good bowler, just wasn’t his days) and then Yuvraj's absolute splendor with the bat and ball. Sachin's final call came up with Dhoni's awesome leadership. Don't forget the presence of Rajini (Rajinikanth) and Ghajini (Aamir Khan) at the finals. When the two DEMIGODS of India (Sachin & Rajini) are in the same stadium who can dare take away the cup from us? Overall, spectacular effort by Team India. Besides, Our Pakistani brothers and Sri Lankan machans also did great! It was an Asian dominated tournament that was able put a brake on the great Australian express. Once again, Well done India, Sri Lanka and congratulating all the other sides for putting up a healthy competition and taking it till the end. This is our Winning Eleven ....
