Drain and keep aside to cool. In the same oil, fry the sliced onion till they are almost crisp. Drain and keep aside. Mash the boiled potato.  When cooled, mash the fried red chillies, onion and salt.  Now, mix this thoroughly with the mashed potato. Serve with boiled rice and dal.
