Vedic Reflections - Shri VishnusahasranAmam (Stanza 91) The Lord is the greatest Yogī and serves as the Lord of all yogīs. Now, the meaning of the word yogī isn’t clear. It could either be someone who performs yoga or has a lot of knowledge or can be some one who meditates above all things wordly. Vedic Reflections - Shri VishnusahasranAmam (Stanza 90) The beauty of the irony used in the names aņurbŗhat captures my mind just like the very feeling of His Highness Lord Vishņu. Once He is called as the minute atom ( aņuh) while in the very next name He becomes the ever expanding gigantic form of the universe ( bŗhat ). Similarly in the next two names also the reader will find this ironic situation. Such is the might of Our dear Lord of Vaikuntha, All hail GOVINDA GOVINDA! Vedic Reflections - Shri VishnusahasranAmam (Stanza 89) Very pleasantly are the entangled relationship of The Lord and the number 7 explained here in these names. The first four names deal with 7 ( sapta ). We also note that Lord’s names show characteristics of Sūryadeva .
