Carter And the Curse of the Pharoahs - That Frequent Visitor's Most Haunted Places on Earth # 5

When somebody says Egypt, instantly the mind flashes pictures of sand, pyramids, the sphinx and Mummies . Now Hollywood films and Scooby Doo cartoons have created a whole never-ending fascination for this dry land of mysteries in my mind. When I first read the story of Howard Carter , I wanted to be there. Now, That Frequent Visitor is going to take you to the sands of Egypt. The  curse of the pharaohs  refers to an alleged  curse  believed by some to be cast upon any person who disturbs the  mummy  of an  Ancient Egyptian  person, especially a  pharaoh . This curse, which does not differentiate between thieves and archaeologists, allegedly can cause bad luck, illness or death. Since the mid-20th century, many authors and documentaries have argued that the curse is 'real' in the sense of being caused by scientifically explicable causes such as bacteria or radiation. However, the modern origins of Egyptian mummy curse tales, their development primarily in European cultures,

As I count down to the release of my second novel, That Frequent Visitor , I will be posting some of the spookiest factoids I have come across on the internet. You don't have to believe all of them or none at all, however, given the amount of Tim Burton movies & Scooby Doo cartoons I have nourished myself with, I can't stop getting fascinated by these Legends .
