The light of knowledge by K.Hari Kumar

‎ "The light of knowledge" Light symbolizes knowledge while darkness represents ignorance. The Lord is the "Knowledge Principle," or Chaitanya, who is the source, the enlivener and the illuminator of all knowledge.  Hence light is worshiped as the Lord himself.
