The film has received enormous success overseas with the film grossing Rs. 20 crores in the United States of America, Rs. 8 crores in the United Kingdom (Including Europe), Rs. 7 crores in the Middle East, Rs. 21 crores in South East Asia (including Malaysia and Singapore) and Rs. 5 crores in the rest of the world. This film has been released by Ayngaran International, which is a 51% subsidiary of Eros International and is the pioneer in Tamil film distribution in theatrical and home video formats in the international market.
