The light of knowledge by K.Hari Kumar

‎ "The light of knowledge" Light symbolizes knowledge while darkness represents ignorance. The Lord is the "Knowledge Principle," or Chaitanya, who is the source, the enlivener and the illuminator of all knowledge.  Hence light is worshiped as the Lord himself. Has the Butterfly flown away?

Has the Butterfly flown away? Of all these eves...was chosen today... Like a river ceasing....gave my life away... Unto a depth of shallowness...have I met... A shallow so deep....and harder they get... My legs walk towards her....plead and pray... The Heart strangles me.....to will and say... As I wondered...saw that butterfly... Wondering on a blossom...I sigh!... Beautiful as her...the bodily contours... dusky of tint...whiskering on tours... With great beauty..she flew away...with my Heart Has the butterfly flown away?...where's my heart? © 2010 K Hari Photography She did fly...or was it me?... Stealthily I saw her..did she see?... Pour me some drops of rain...oh God!... her silence haunts me...Oh! at least nod!... Going down are my heartbeats...throbbing my pulse... Lemme hold you in my hand...before someone else... Now has the butterfly come?...so that I... Can hold you tight...with a blink of an eye... She's held me in chains...in shackles of agony.

My Works of Photography I (A day in the lap of nature)

I caught the butterfly at the right moment....a second later....it fluttered away! Love this one...its so simple....yet so refreshing!

The Divine Light

After covering almost 1200 miles in train and another 20 odd miles on foot...up and down on a holy hill......and patiently following a swarm of devotees.....I got what I had come for.....for what....millions of faithful come...everyday....A 2 minute सुदर्शन  ( sudarshan - beautiful glimpse) of the Lord of Tirumalai....Shri Venkateswara........Tirupati Balaji.......that was the first time...I had seen his divine figure.....such beauty....such lustre.....a million suns would lose out on him....by a million times.....The deity adorned with Gold...and garlands of the most elegant flowers....and enlightening a few hundred holy lamps.... capturing one's sense of sight..... The scent of incense, flowers and other offerings.....captivating one's sense of smell...... The chants by the Brahmins......and a thousand devotees echoing GOVINDA GOVINDA ....praising the Lord....while the bells toll......imprisoning one's sense of hearing...... The very feeling of being alive makes you

Petals (My Photographs)

©   20 10 K Hari, KAAMA Vol II. I still don't believe it when I look at this photo----- THAT I SHOT IT ! Someone on facebook complimented this photo as AWESOME ! and to this.,....I could only say one thing....." Such is God's creation.....AWESOME! " Petals is a very simple work....yet it defines boundaries that I could never transcend previously.....Boundaries..that now I believe.....I can cross......shot with a simple Sony digicam ...and further manipulated using Lightroom and Photoshop...this will remain one of the first of its kinds from my side......and one of my favourites too....... It all happened yesterday while I was returning from a trip to the Singh Sahib Gurudwara............everyday I would walk past that Dahlia bush (placed arcadiously at the entrance of my apartment).......without noticing it.....or at the most.....just brushing by its reddish blue shade........... But yesterday.....with an envisioned mind.....the Dahlia captured my senses.........

A Bemused Moon (By K Hari Kumar)

A Bemused Moon खोया खोया चाँद / ചിന്തയില്‍ മുഴുഗിയ ചന്ദ്രന്‍ By K Hari Hmm, my new didicam is able able to capture stills from the night with least noise although it couldn't exactly focus on the Moon and its scars coz,,,well,,,errr....The moon was lost in thoughts, and that's why I call it A BEMUSED MOON.

Sunsets (By K Hari)

My Favourite Photograph I shot this from a moving van while returning from a Youth Festival held in Rohtak. Wow! Such a beautiful sight! Is this Heaven? On a sunny winter evening at Rajiv Chowk, Gurgaon. Who knew that the sky can be made so YELLOW!

Celebrating Vijayadashami (Dusshera)

NamaskAra Finally, after 2 days of exile from the world of words, I am back again typing on my keyboard, writing this little article.Did someone ask- Exile ? Well, kinda. Its a part of the Navratri Vrata (Fast) when on the eighth day (DurgAshtami) all books belonging to a student are owed to Goddess Saraswati and placed as a collective Puja entity. Books signify the most important source of knowledge for a student (BrahmachAri), and owing it to the Devi herself is a way to pay tribute to Goddess of VidyA (Knowledge) and thus, seek her blessings. And on the tenth day, that is, on the Day of Vijayadashami, A ritual called VidyArambham is performed. An auspicious ceremony marked with Pooja of Hari, Ganapathy, Goddess Saraswati and the Kuladevata (Lord of the Clan). (My Books placed before images and idols of Our Gods in the morning) VidyArambham is derived from the words VidyA and Aarambham that mean the Commencement of Knowledge. The mantra - Aum HarisrI Ganapathaye namahA avighna
