That's how I begin my REFLECTIONS on almost every Rahman song! This one's no exception....it's a jazzy night time song....very peaceful & melodious alike! Sounds like Abbas Tyrewala hasn't really taken off from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.....The song's quite similar to the songs of Jaane Tu...Maybe it's the perfect use of Rashid Ali's silky voice... No..No I am not criticizing Rahman...this one's distinct from the Jaane tu songs..although they are on the same vessel. It's yet another loony loner's anthem containing Sufi phrases quelled by a haunting female voice...The only two good reasons to listen to this song are- Mohit Chauhan's amazing voice The tabla backdrop during the transition sounds like Rahman's classy KEHNA HI KYA... The lyrics are pretty good too. It kinda narrates the laws and objectives of the life of the Robot, more the Curriculum Vitae o the biography of the Created ENDHIRAN (ROBOT). A very techno feel to the song, keeping in mind the sci-fi nature of the movie. Rahman himself croons along with Khatija Rahman and the man with the golden voice- SP Balasubramaniyam to Vairamuthu's amusing words. There are some lines that are absolutely mind-blowing....like the one where THE ROBOT SAYS THAT HE HAS BEEN CREATED BY A MAN (RAJNIKANT) and so he speaks TAMIL as his FATHERTONGUE! It's absolutely amazing to such contexts....great! Loved the song....the tune....the lyrics...THUMBS

Especially the ones that are sung by him. His voice has this greasy edge to it which makes it quite catchy and paves it into the heart. Pretty slow and calm unlike the theme of the movie which is TERRORISM & Kashmir...the names of both trigger some loud noises inside our minds...This song is an irony to that feeling! The new guy Kshitij has done a good job, though his voice sounds like a Kailash + Rahet Combo....or was it MITHOON??? Chinmayee was apt! I always considered Mithoon as a great composer...although he couldn't really get a breakthrough....His songs...most of em SAD ones....were noticed and went on to became memorable numbers---Maula Mere Maula Mere (Anwar), Beetein Lamhe, Mausam (The Train) and Bin Tere, Kyu hai Sehraaon ki (Aggar).......and then his album's single --- Tu hi mera.....all of them had found some place in our hearts,,,,yet he couldn't actually churn out a place for himself....I hope this movies just does that....
