Aakrosh - Movie Review

A movie about honour killings that have swept the sands of Northern India is what is seemingly the USP of this action packed CBI melodrama. Having watched this movie in an almost empty SRS Cinema hall in Gurgaon, I felt more like at home. Priyadarsan takes a different route this time and decides to put up a Action Investigation film on the lines of Malayalam Sethurama Iyer CBI movies, although, the plot is more fresh and not really a remake of any particular malayalam film, like he used to do previously. The film has been set in a village JHANJHAR in North India, where three young men have vanished and apparently suspected to be killed by their classmates in some medical college in New Delhi. Thus, sets Akshaye Khanna, a very dutiful, thanda & gassy CBI officer en route to Jhaanjhar to track the wrong doers. Funnily, Jhaanjhar is a real village in Haryana, but the villagers speak in Bhojpurish Hindi which is nothing like the aggressive tone that's used in Haryanvi Hindi and t

Mere Bina (Lyrics, English Translation)

मेरे बिना (Mere Bina) CROOK OST Music - Pritam Singer - Nikhil D'Souza Lyrics - Kumaar MY RATING - 9/10 Reflections A very romantic western number by new comer Nikhil D'Souza. Pritam has crooned Pop hits by Darius and Enrqiue alike to create a magical ballad that hooks you to its smoothness the moment the song starts. Nikhil sounds like Atif at times, but nevertheless is a promsing find!   Lyrics (English Translation) Mere Bina Rehne laga hun Teri hawaon me Behne laga hun I have started living without you... I have started floating in the breeze that you are jaane main kaise tera hua hu mujhe to lagta hai main shayad tere dil ki dua hu Haan Tujhko jo paaya ahan To jeena aaya Ab ye lamha theher jaye tham jaye bas jaye hum Dono ke darmiyaaaaan I don't know how I have become yours I think I am the boon from your heart Yea! Now that I found you...I have learnt to live Now this moment may stop here at this very moment when the two of us are together

Aakrosh (Theatrical)

Aakrosh / आक्रोश Filmed by - Priyadarsan Produced by - Kumar Mangat Pathak Starring - Ajay Devgun, Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu, Reema Sen, Amita Pathak Music - Pritam Lyrics - Irshad Kamil DOP - Thiru Genre - Action/Thriller/Drama My Expectations' Rating - 7.9/10 Reflections Well, the genre is clear- Pure action and some are over the top, just like in T amil flicks. Priyadarsan returns to the action genre after almost a decade and half.We last saw him making Gardish which starred Jackie Shroff. The funny thing is that despite making an action flick, the Priyan film doesn't star Akshay Kumar which is quite surprising for he had featured in almost all the recent slapstick idiotic comedies of Priyadarsan and when finally he has made this Action film....LO! There's no Akshay Kumar...instead there is his second favourite Akshaye Khanna. Ajay Devgun has sizzled once again...the female lead played by Bipasha..Reema and the producer's daughter- Ami

Chala Aaya Pyaar (Aashayein OST - Lyrics & Audio)

Chala Aaya Pyaar - चल| आया प्यार Aashayein OST Music By Pritam & Sung by Mohit Chauhan  MY RATING - 9/10  Reflections   A very slow and jazzy track that is sure to touch your soul. I like it more for the situation it creates....A nice track Makes you wonder at this gift that you have - LIFE! Lyrics   khawabon ki lehrein khushiyon ke saaye khushboon ki kirane dheeme se gaaye yehi toh hai humdum woh saathi woh dilbaar woh yaar yaadon ke nazuk paron pe chala aaya pyaar chala aaya pyaar chala aaya pyaar khawabon ki lehrein khushiyon ke saaye khushboon ki kirane dheeme se gaaye yehi toh hai humdum woh saathi woh dilbaar woh yaar yaadon ke nazuk paron pe chala aaya pyaar chala aaya pyaar chala aaya pyaar mohabbat ka dariya dooba nirala jo terah woh paya kabhi na kinara mohabbat ka dariya dooba nirala jo terah woh paya kabhi na kinara jo bekhauf dooba wahi toh pahunch paaya paar yaadon ke nazuk paron pe chala aaya pyaar chala aaya pyaar chala aaya pyaar kab

Sajde (Khatta Meetha OST - Audio, Lyrics & English Translation)

सजदे  Film/Album: Khatta Meetha Singer(s): K K, Sunidhi Chauhan Music Director: Pritam Lyricist: Irshad kamil My Rating - 7.8/10 Reflections I can't understand what happens to Pritam when he's composing songs for Priyadarsan's movies!!! De Dana Dan carried pretty under average to pathetic tracks too. This one has just two notable tracks- One is SAJDA and the other is BULLSHIT! Sajde is a soft one, not as good as Pee Loon or I am in Love from Pritam's other soundtrack of the season - ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI..... The Video is pretty soothing, with most of the song being filmed at some temple in Tamil Nadu (a wild guess...but could be anywhere in Southern India except Kerala, since the architecture of the temple shows). Trisha Krishnan looks ravishing for her age and Akshay looks simple yet over-typed.... Lyrics (Translation) Sajde kiye hai lakhon, lakhon duayein maangi, paya hai maine phir tujhe Chahat ki teri maine, haqq mein hawayein maangi, paya h

I am in Love (Once Upon a time in Mumbai - Lyrics Audio & English Translation)

I am in Love Once Upon a time in Mumbai OST Sung by Karthik Music by Pritam My Rating - 8.1/10 Reflections A pretty neat stuff from Pritam, a nice song....although It would be wonderful to see where it would fit in a Period action flick like ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI .... A romantic song rendered excellently by South Indian sensation, Karthik. It seems the replacement of Sonu Nigam has finally arrived in the B-Town or shud I say Mumbai.... Somehow similar to IS THIS LOVE from Kismat Konnection which was again d work of Pritam.... Ho aaj kal tanha main kahan hoon, saath chalta koi Uski hame aadat hone ki aadat ho gayi Woh jo mila hai jab se uski sauhbat ho gayi Ik zara masoom se dil ki aafat ho gayi Sun le zara, sun le zara Dil ne kaha, itna bas mujhe pata hai I am in love, I am in love Tu hi bataa jaane kya mujhe hua hai Nowadays, I am lonely no more The habit of her being with me has become a habit This innocence of heart has become a pleasant trouble Pay
