Reflections
Ever wondered what happens on the marriage of Malayalam and Tamil???? I am not talking about two people here! But of Music and Lyrics. We get something like Chennai Senthamizh or this one here KAVERI NADIYE from keerthichakra. It has been one of my favourite tracks ever since I heard it for the first 3 years back when my Haryanvi were busy bullying me for who I was - A SOUTHINDIAN!  :( sadly enough, I had to bear it all, for I had no supporter, infusing the very thought of separatist thinking in my mind for the first time in my mind and heart. What the hell? Assholes of that kind keep on panelling up every day in our lives...best thing is to ignore them! Let me get back to the song.
Kaveri Nadiye is the perfect blend of Carnatic Raga with Contemporary Style of Music, just like it amalgamates Tamil and Malayalam lyrics, penned by Late Gireesh Puthuncherry....
The favourite part from the song is when Karthik swendles these lines with Asha Menon -
"mayilalle alle ee kaliyaattam kaannoolle
kuyilalle alle poomkinnaaram koovoolle
uyirinnoduyir cheraam unarvodonnunarvekaam

Awesome song, must not be missed at any cost!
Makes me wanna go home right now...Kerala <3

Lyrics (Translation in English)

Kaaveri nadiye kaattaadum kanave
kaathal kannazhake kannadaasante kavitha nee
pookkaalam pole punyaham pole
en nenchil nirayum naattu paattinte inima nee
Oh River Cauvery! My Dream is swinging like a breeze...
Oh Beautiful Eyes of My love...You are the poem of Kannadaasa (A famous Poet)
Like springtime....like a purifying spirit (punyaaham)
The aura of my region's folksong fills my heart
manamakale nalla mayilazhake
ninte manassinte kaavadi chinthorukku
kulamakale kunju kuyil mozhiye
nalla kurukuzhal kummikal kuravayittorungu
(Kaaveri nadiye..)
The one dancing like a beautiful peacock...I have to conquer your dancing mind...
The daughter of the great clan...like a little sparrow...sing a song with flute like voice of yours...
Thaalaattum paattu thamizh konchunna manasse
thaimaasam ninne ponnaal moodum
Thankathin noolil thirumanamaay naale
thenpaandi theril varumo maaran
manimulle mulle nin poovaasam en swaasam
manithuliye thuliye nee manjil aa may maasam
uyirinnoduyir cheraam unarvodonnunarvakaam
(Manamakale.....)
wavering with the rythm...The mind that shies away from the Tamilian
will cover you with Gold in the thaimaasam
In a golden thread...on the first sunrise tomorrow...
Will he arrive on the Chariot of the Pure Pandyan Dynasty
Oh pearly jasmine bud....My breath lies in your springtime...
Oh pearly dew...My blossoming month lies in your snow
Let's join my soul with yours.....
Chinthoora chaanthil chiri chokkunna veyile
Konchum nee thannaal kuriyaay chaarthaam
kuttaalam kuruvee kuliraniyum kuruvee
Kunjaatta kaattin chirakil poroo
mayilalle alle ee kaliyaattam kaannoolle
kuyilalle alle poomkinnaaram koovoolle
uyirinnoduyir cheraam unarvodonnunarvekaam
(Manamakale.....)
A saffronish sandal like smile that paints the sun red...
If you lend some red...I could adorn it...
Oh...Sparrow...spread your wings and fly with this mild breeze...
Hey...arent you the peacock...won't you watch this mayilaattam (Peacock dance)
Hey...aint you the sparrow??? won't you sing your beautiful song for the peacock to dance???
Let's join my soul with yours.....

Krishna Nee Begane Baaro - Kannada Lyrics & Translation

Unveiling the Depths of "Krishna Nee Begane Baaro" Krishna Nee Begane Baaro  (Oh Krishna, Please Come) transcends the realm of a simple  Kannada devotional song . Composed by the revered saint-poet  Vyasatirtha , it offers a powerful expression of devotion and yearning for the divine presence of Lord Krishna. A Melody Steeped in Tradition: The essence of  Krishna Nee Begane Baaro  lies in its music. The melody flows serenely in  Raga Yamunakalyani , its notes reminiscent of the gentle murmur of the Yamuna River. The rhythmic pattern,  Chapu , adds a structured elegance, providing the perfect foundation for the heartfelt lyrics. Vyasatirtha, a prominent figure in the  Dvaita school of Madhvacharya philosophy , infused the song with his profound understanding of the divine. A Source of Solace: Krishna Nee Begane Baaro  resonates far beyond its cultural significance. The song's calming melody offers a sense of peace and comfort during challenging times. Many listeners, mysel

Mere Bina (Lyrics, English Translation)

मेरे बिना (Mere Bina) CROOK OST Music - Pritam Singer - Nikhil D'Souza Lyrics - Kumaar MY RATING - 9/10 Reflections A very romantic western number by new comer Nikhil D'Souza. Pritam has crooned Pop hits by Darius and Enrqiue alike to create a magical ballad that hooks you to its smoothness the moment the song starts. Nikhil sounds like Atif at times, but nevertheless is a promsing find!   Lyrics (English Translation) Mere Bina Rehne laga hun Teri hawaon me Behne laga hun I have started living without you... I have started floating in the breeze that you are jaane main kaise tera hua hu mujhe to lagta hai main shayad tere dil ki dua hu Haan Tujhko jo paaya ahan To jeena aaya Ab ye lamha theher jaye tham jaye bas jaye hum Dono ke darmiyaaaaan I don't know how I have become yours I think I am the boon from your heart Yea! Now that I found you...I have learnt to live Now this moment may stop here at this very moment when the two of us are together
