Vedic Reflections - Shri VishnusahasranAmam (Stanza 42)
The 42nd stanza speaks about The Lord's blissful nature and completeness as once again the point of His being there at the time of pralayA is stressed upon
vyavasAyah vyavasthAnah samsthAnah sthAnadah dhruvah
parardhih paramaspastah tustah pustah subhekshah
व्यवसायः व्यवस्थानः संस्थानः स्थानदः ध्रुवः |
परर्धिः परमस्पष्ट: तुष्टः पुष्टः सुभेक्षः ||
vyavasAyah
The One Who is the center for everything, around Whom all the planets revolve
vyavasthAnah
The One Who is the principle of everything as everything is based on Him
samsthAnah
The One unto Whom everything and everyone enters at the time of pralayA. pralayA or apocalypse has been repeated in the previous verses too, so I hope everybody is familiar with the word by now
sthAnadah
The One Who decides the position or sthAna of jivas according to their karma
dhruvah
The One Whose position is fixed, and is imperishable
parardhih
The One with param riddhih. riddhih can either mean as great magnificence or great increment
paramaspastah
The One Who is the greatest definite, that is infinite
tustah
The One Who is the nature of Ananda or bliss
pustah
The One Who is healthy, nourished with completeness
subhekshah
The One Whose eyes are auspicious, the vision of Whose guides those who seek His sharanam or refuge
