Vedic Reflections - Shri VishnusahasranAmam (Stanza 102)

As we have read before, Lord Vishnu is the base of everything as He is the pertaining cause of everything. Here again we read about the same qualities of the Lord as we chant the 102nd stanza of His thousand names


आधारनिलयोअधाता पुष्पहासः प्रजागरः |
ऊर्ध्वगः सत्पथाचारः प्राणदः प्रणवः पणः ||

ādhāranilayo adhāta pushpahāsah prajāgarah
ūrdhvagah satpathāchārah prāņadah praņavah praņah

ādhāranilayah
The One Who is supports the entire base that supports the universe

adhāta
The One Who isn’t supported by anything

pushpahāsah
The One Who blooms like a flower from a bud

prajāgarah
The One Who is always awake and alert

ūrdhvagah
The One Who stands on top

satpathāchārah
The One Who observes those who are well disciplined and good mannered

prāņadah
The One Who spells and gives life

praņavah
The One Who is non-different from Omkāra

paņah
The One Who is the fruit of all action, paņah literally means money or coin, but here we use it as a metaphor for the fruit of our actions
