Off late, I have been listening to some of his brilliant works of yesteryears and think I might displace AR Rehman to no.2 in the list of my Favourite Musicians! Wow! A Hindi version of his own retro chartbuster called THUMBI VAA from the Malayalam film OLANGAL that was released in 1982 (starring AMOL PALEKAR). My mother used to sing that song to make me go to sleep! Yea! I can remember that, and all that came back to me yesterday when I listened to this track for the first time! Wow! what a rendering, its even better than the original with an added JAZZY flavour fervouring the Carnatic mood of the song. I

Akheer (The last or The end) My Rating - 9/10 This is one of those Punjabi songs that I like to play on my jukebox again and again. With a South Indian tune and Poetic and Meaningful Punjabi lyrics, the track if understood can touch the deepest depths of your heart and soul.
